1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Highway Tours website and booking services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 Booking Process
When you book a bus ticket through our platform, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
2.2 Payment Terms
- All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Payment must be made at the time of booking confirmation.
- We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI, and digital wallets.
- Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a booking confirmation via email and SMS.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
3.1 Cancellation by Passenger
- Ticket cancellation must be done at least 3 hours in advance of the scheduled departure time.
- A 30% penalty will be deducted from the ticket amount for all cancellations.
- Cancellation charges apply as per the time of cancellation before departure.
- Cancellation more than 24 hours before departure: 10% cancellation charges.
- Cancellation between 12-24 hours before departure: 25% cancellation charges.
- Cancellation less than 12 hours before departure: 50% cancellation charges.
- No refund for cancellation after bus departure time.
3.2 Refund Process
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days. The refund amount will be credited after deducting applicable cancellation charges.
4. Bus Service Terms
4.1 Boarding
- Aadhar Card is mandatory for all passengers and must be presented at the time of boarding.
- Passengers must arrive at the boarding point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- Passengers who have bought online and advance tickets should come and contact the ticket counter before the scheduled departure time.
- Valid ID proof must be carried for verification.
- Boarding will be denied if passengers arrive after the bus departure time.
4.2 Luggage
- Each passenger is allowed one piece of hand luggage (max 5 kg) and one piece of checked luggage (max 20 kg).
- Excess luggage charges may apply.
- Valuable items, fragile items, and prohibited items should not be carried in checked luggage.
4.3 Seat Allocation
Seats are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis or as per the seat selection made during booking. We reserve the right to change seat allocation in case of operational requirements.
5. Passenger Responsibilities
- Aadhar Card is mandatory for all passengers.
- Passengers must carry valid ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License, or Passport).
- Passengers must maintain decorum and follow safety instructions during the journey.
- Traveling with intoxicants, alcohol, firearms, weapons, etc. is strictly prohibited.
- Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and carrying prohibited items is strictly prohibited.
- Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings.
6. Service Modifications
Highway Tours reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify bus services due to operational reasons, natural calamities, or government regulations. In such cases, passengers will be notified and alternative arrangements or full refunds will be provided.
In case of emergency, the bus may be shifted or cancelled. Passengers will be notified of such changes and alternative arrangements will be made or refunds provided as applicable.
6.1 Travel Date/Route Changes
- Change in travel date or route will be possible only once per ticket.
- Information for travel changes must be given at least 3 hours in advance of the scheduled departure time.
- Change requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- No changes will be permitted less than 3 hours before departure.
7. Important Policies
- Aadhar Card is mandatory for all passengers.
- Traveling with intoxicants, alcohol, firearms, weapons, etc. is prohibited.
- Ticket cancellation must be done 3 hours in advance with a 30% penalty deduction.
- Change in travel is possible only once and must be informed 3 hours in advance.
- Passengers with online/advance tickets must contact the ticket counter before departure time.
- In case of emergency, the bus may be shifted or cancelled.
8. Limitation of Liability
Highway Tours acts as an intermediary between passengers and bus operators. We are not liable for any delays, accidents, loss of baggage, or any other incidents during the journey. Our liability is limited to the ticket value paid by the passenger.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of Highway Tours and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
10. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding collection and use of your personal information.
11. Modifications to Terms
Highway Tours reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Hazaribag, Jharkhand.
